Welcome to Step Up Training and Care

Health and Social Care Training
Step Up Training and Care is a Worcestershire-based QACLS-approved training provider offering accredited qualifications and health and social care training across the UK. We deliver a range of training options, including the essential Oliver McGowan Tier 1 training on learning disabilities and autism. Our offering of high-quality, tailored training solutions makes us an ideal partner for organisations seeking comprehensive workforce development.

Our Awards, Certificates, and Diplomas are externally accredited by Highfield Qualifications awarding body and ICQ Awards awarding body and are covered under the Regulated Qualification Framework – so you can be assured they are genuine qualifications, recognised in the health and social care sector and beyond. Largely, these qualifications are undertaken remotely using electronic portfolio completion and telephone assessment.

We deliver a number of single-day face-to-face training courses along with bespoke statutory and mandatory inductions, generally delivered over a minimum 2-day period. Some of our training courses are available to be delivered by the Zoom platform. Face-to-face training is delivered from our classroom in Redditch or, if required and subject to prior agreement, at your care setting.

You are invited to have a look round our website, where you will find information on our qualifications and training course options that will help you choose the most appropriate training course or qualification to suit your needs or career aspirations. However, we realise that time is a precious resource, so you are also invited to email us and we will get back to you, at a time that's convenient for you.

Featured Qualification - ICQ Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
By far this is our most popular qualification and is delivered predominantly as remote learning. It is designed for people who have been working in the care sector for a while, where employers see the potential for them to work as lead adult care workers and lead personal assistants. The course covers mandatory topics and a wide range of optional units, allowing learners to tailor the qualification to their respective job roles and responsibilities. It is this flexibility that makes this qualification a versatile choice. We will be happy to discuss learner suitability and unit options available with you or your care staff.

Whilst there is no fixed time limit for completion of this qualification, we would anticipate that learners complete it in no more than twelve months. You can find more details about the course on our Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care web page
