These qualifications are aimed at learners looking to further their skills and knowledge and to gain a qualification in Dementia Awareness or End of Life care.
The Dementia related qualification covers the person centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia, the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia and the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion in dementia care.
The End of Life related qualification covers different perspectives on death and dying, understanding the aims, principles and policies of end of life care, understanding factors regarding communication in end-of-life care and knowing how to access the range of support services available to individuals and others.
